How we compile and verify company records in the registry.
Every record in the registry links to at least one external source. Fields that could not be independently verified are marked as "Not publicly listed in our sources."
Our Process
Source Identification
We identify publicly available information from official company websites, press releases, and publicly accessible registrar data.
Cross-Reference
Key fields — company name, registration number, and registered address — are cross-referenced across multiple sources where available.
Record Creation
Verified data is compiled into a standardised profile. Each field that has been confirmed is linked to its source.
Periodic Review
Records are reviewed periodically. The 'Last Reviewed' date on each profile indicates when the information was last checked.
Limitations
HKFBR relies on publicly available data. We do not have access to private registrar databases, and we cannot guarantee that all information is current at any given time. If you identify an error, please use the correction request process described on our Editorial Policy page.
